Construction in the resort that we were not aware of required us to shorten the course by 3/10th of a mile. In addition, poor communication between the race director (absent due to major emergency surgery) and the person marking the course resulted in another considerable reduction of the course; to a final measurement of an estimated 2.25 miles.
